Luke has over 30 years of experience in financial markets with roles covering derivatives sales, trading, benchmarks, and risk. The combination of these direct working roles gives him a deep and holistic understanding of market factors and associated risks within multiple trading environments. He has rare working insight into numerous global benchmarks including LIBOR with experience both within the front office and a second line oversight function. 

He has held key senior roles in multiple initiatives to drive change and develop robust solutions to governance frameworks and oversight structures including benchmark submissions, 3 Lines of Defence, EU BMR and surveillance.

Luke was Head of Benchmark Oversight EMEA at Deutsche Bank where his responsibilities included oversight of submissions to numerous benchmarks including LIBOR, EURIBOR, and SONIA as well as acting as a subject matter expert for numerous global benchmarks and IBOR evolution workstreams. During his 19 years at Deutsche Bank, he founded a highly successful short end derivatives sales desk that he headed for 10 years before moving into trading G10 currency deposits where he held global responsibility for Scandinavian currencies. Within his risk role, he has overseen and established controls within the 1st and 2nd lines of defense including surveillance. Luke has created and developed technological dashboard solutions to deliver robust oversight and assist surveillance flows. He has regularly interacted with regulatory bodies and benchmark administrators to help assist in the evolution of benchmarks globally and ISDA fallbacks.
Outside of work Luke maintains a keen eye for detail by making violins and is an avid supporter of the arts. He is a patron of his local concert hall and assistant Treasurer of the RAB Trust which supports student violin makers.
