Britta has over 25 years of investment banking experience, with specific expertise in distributing fixed income products through multiple sales channels to financial institutions (banks and institutional investors) in Europe. With much of her career based in London, she has dual citizenship (British/German) and has utilized her trilingual skills to work in Paris, Munich, and Frankfurt.
With deep knowledge of the full trade life cycle, Britta has a track record of delivering transformation initiatives, regulatory change, and workflow digitisation projects in challenging environments, often with limited resources, whilst also achieving commercial KPIs. She has a keen appreciation of the regulatory and cultural challenges organisations face, and the need to work with stakeholders to drive forward change initiatives to meet organisational objectives.
More recently Britta was able to apply her extensive industry knowledge to market Fintech products for Symphony Communications Services to financial institutions and corporations within Germany.
Prior to Symphony, Britta held multiple senior level roles at RBS. Her last role from 2016-2019 was as Director – Head of Rate Sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, achieving top 5 rankings with the majority of clients. With a focus on building trusted relationships and operating with integrity, she was recognised for her drive and determination to deliver excellence.
Key projects included: migrating balance sheets across legal entities post-Brexit and negotiating ISDAs/CSAs and clearing agreements as a result of regulatory change. Over a period of 10 years, Britta continually managed down RWA usage with clients, while generating new less balance sheet intensive business. In addition, she supported the digital transformation of the bank, including implementing client tiering initiatives.
From 2007-2016, Britta specialised in IRD within Rates Sales focusing on Germany. She joined RBS in 2004 to focus on interbank marketing to European banks, expanding her EUR-only derivative experience to include cross-currency swaps and interest options in all major currencies.
Britta’s earlier experience was gained within Société Générale completing rotations across multiple business areas in Paris, London and Frankfurt and at Hypovereinsbank, Munich where she specialised in interbank marketing and interest rate derivatives.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Strategy and a Maitrise in Economics from the Université Pierre Mendes France.
